The Polestar 3 is capable of charging quite quickly, especially when using rapid charging systems. It can charge from 20% to 80% in about 30 minutes when connected to a high-power DC charger that supports up to 250 kW. This fast charging capability makes it convenient for long trips, as you can quickly top up your battery while taking a short break.
When charging at home or at slower public points, the Polestar 3 uses a Type 2 connector and can charge at up to 11 kW, which is typical for many home charging setups. This means it takes longer to fully charge the car, usually around 15 hours from empty to full using a standard 7 kW home charger. However, most people don’t charge their cars from completely empty to full, so the actual charging time is often shorter.
